Believe it or not, one of the best places to eat… for less… is Whole Foods on First Street. You’ll find a farmer’s market, a specialty wine and cheese market, a grocer, an old-fashioned butcher, a fishmonger and… BEST of ALL… a Team of Chefs preparing quality global cuisine… all under one roof.
Head to the seafood market for a piece of corn bread and freshly made lobster/seafood chowder or stroll in the opposite direction where additional soups, salads and exceptional meals are available for dining in, outside… or… on the beach at sunset!
A few Basic Ideas
Consider Takeout. Many restaurants offer carry-out. You don’t have to tip a waitress and you can have your beverage of choice at a great location… like on the BEACH at sunset!
Make an appetizer your meal. Appetizers cost less than a regular meal and don’t include unnecessary extras. Order several to share like tapas!
Go out for breakfast or lunch. The cheapest meal is breakfast… followed by lunch. Prices go up for dinner and if you have a kitchen in your vacation unit, schedule a few nights in.
Early Bird Dining
If you go to eat just a little bit earlier, you can beat the crowds and still take advantage of less expensive dining options. Some restaurants offer “happy hour” or “Early Bird” specials (typically served between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.).

Hob Nob Drive In – Open-air roadside seating with hamburgers, hot dogs, onion rings, etc.
Patrick’s – Small Bites from 4:00-7:00 with discounted well drinks
Yume – Reasonably priced Japanese beef, chicken, seafood & sushi
TROYER’S Dutch Heritage – Great Amish B, L & D Buffets & family dining (kids eat free)
A little more up-scale @ a bargain
Cafe Epicure – Appetizers, salads and pastas at a reasonable price with all drinks half price from 4:00-6:00
Social Eatery & Bar – Offers great apps, Mac n Cheese, soups, salads and specialty meatballs from 5:00-7:00 daily
Classico Cafe & Bar – Features reasonable apps and happy hour from 3:15 to 6:15 Monday-Friday
