Ringling Museum’s International Arts Festival – October
the museum grounds come alive with dance, music and theater as well as film.

Sarasota Ballet – The ballet season begins in October with other performances scheduled throughout season and into the first week of May.

Sarasota Orchestra – Enjoy innovative formats and traditional concerts, exceptional music by the great masters, all-time favorites and dynamic guest conductors. Performances are scheduled from September through May.

Asolo Repertory Theater – November through June this intimate theatre features a variety of dramatic, dance and musical events.

Van Wezel – A broad spectrum of the world’s finest artists ranging from music and dance to theater and comedy throughout the year.

Sarasota Season of Sculpture – Two dozen large-scale sculptures from artists throughout the world are displayed along the U.S. 41 (Bayfront Drive) portion of Sarasota’s Centennial Park. Installations are viewable from the first week in November through May.

Sarasota Chalk Festival – Sarasota’s Chalk Festival is the first in the U.S. attracting International street artists demonstrating three dimensional illusions that pop from the pavement.

Bradenton Blues Festival – Held at Bradenton’s “Manatee Riverwalk”.

Sculpture/Botanical Gardens – A complete list with links and descriptions of Sculpture & Botanical Gardens throughout Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, Naples and central Florida. Sarasota’s Selby Gardens offer an impressive collection of bromeliads and orchids yet others to consider would be Bok Tower Botanical gardens as well as the Polasek Sculpture Gardens.

Museums – Plan a visit to Sarasota’s Ringling Museum, Skyspace by James Turrell, Circus Museum and the Ca d’Zan, Ringling’s home on the bay. Spend a day in St. Petersburg at the Salvador Dali Museum and Morean Art Center with works of glass by Dale Chihuly, then head to the Hot Shop and observe the art of glass blowing.
